Versele-Laga Prestige Premium Exotic Parrots Nuts 750g – Exotic Nut Mix with Seeds & Grains for Parrots

Description

Versele-Laga Prestige Premium Exotic Parrots Nuts is an exotic nut mix for parrots that love to crack, peel and forage. The blend combines seeds, grains and 15% nuts in the shell from six different types, such as almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts, pecans and Brazil nuts.

In addition, the recipe includes banana, papaya, raisins, unpeeled peanuts and chilli peppers. As a result, every bowl offers new flavours and textures. Cracking the shells also keeps your parrot busy and supports natural foraging behaviour. The mix contains no colourants.

You can serve it as a main feed or as a tasty treat next to your bird’s usual diet.

How to Feed

Offer the food freely and replace it often so it stays fresh. Also, make sure clean drinking water is always available.

When you use it as the main feed, you can replace up to 20% of the daily ration with fruit, vegetables, NutriBird treats, Prestige Germination Seeds, Prestige Exotic or Prestige Sticks.

For good overall condition, give a vitamin, amino-acid and mineral supplement, such as Oropharma Omni-Vit. In addition, provide a calcium source, for example Oropharma Calci-Lux or a mineral block.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this exotic nut mix contain peanuts?

Yes. It contains unpeeled peanuts. If you prefer a peanut-free food, see the Versele-Laga Exotic Parrots Fruit Mix.

Can I use it as my parrot’s only food?

Yes, it can be the main feed. Even so, add fresh fruit and vegetables, plus a vitamin and calcium supplement, for a complete diet.

Is it suitable for small birds?

No. The nuts in the shell are too large and hard for budgies, canaries or finches. For small birds, choose a seed mix made for their size.
